AsSeenOnScreen (ASOS) was founded by Quentin Griffiths and Nick Robertson in June 2000. The name was officially changed to ASOS PLC and ASOS.com Limited in 2003 with the agreement of the shareholders. The business was closed for 6 weeks in 2005 due to the Buncefield Fuel Depot, £5m of stock was also lost. Returns & Refunds (UK)
You can return any item to ASOS within 28 days of receiving your order (please ensure your items are in the original condition).
All they ask is that you confirm the order number and whether you want a refund or an exchange of any items on your returns note. They cannot take care of your return without this info, so please make sure the returns form is completed and placed in your parcel.
If you would like to return your item for an exchange, they will send your replacement to the original delivery address. To check or update your address details, log into My Account and click 'Edit' below your Address Book (remember to click 'Save' when you're finished).
If you are a UK customer, you can choose from the following 8 options when returning your items:
- Collect+ - Return via a Collect+ location.
- Doddle - Return via a Doddle store location.
- Hermes - Return via a Hermes Parcel Shop location.
- Hermes - Book a courier collection to collect Monday to Saturday.
- InPost - Return via an InPost parcel locker location.
- Pass My Parcel - Return via a Pass My Parcel store location.
- toyou - Return via a toyou/ASDA store location.
- Royal Mail - Return via a Post Office location.
It can normally take up to 7 working days (excluding bank holidays and weekends) from the date of your return for your item to arrive back at their warehouse and completed.
They will notify you via email as soon as they have completed your return, letting you know whether an exchange or exchange has been processed. This is usually completed within 1 working day of receiving the returned parcel into their warehouse.
Any refund will automatically be issued to the payment method you used to place your original order. This usually takes 5 working days in the UK, depending on your payment method issuer.
ASOS try hard to accept all returns and they don’t need to be in the original box or bag, as long as they are securely packed. In the unlikely event that an item is returned to them in an unsuitable condition, they may have to send it back to you.
