History
The Jersey based company was founded in 2005 by Aaron Chatterley and his accountant friend Richard Schiessl. Aaron, who was a web designer at the time, came up with the idea for the online beauty business after a trip to Dublin. With time to kill at the airport he was browsing a cosmetics store and was approached by an overenthusiastic Clarins saleswoman. They got chatting, and she gave him a free sample of face cream to try out. On the plane journey home he was curious: where would he go if he wanted to buy some more cream? This was his lightbulb moment.
Chatterley approached his friend Richard Schiessl with the idea and they each invested £35,000 to launch the business. Although the pair knew little about the beauty industry, they did have a very good understanding of e-commerce and how their business model must work. They quickly employed a team of beauty experts, such as buyers from department stores, that would give them the knowledge resource they needed.
Aaron and Richard soon realised that the beauty industry wasn’t as straightforward as they had anticipated. Unfortunately without a physical presence, the big brands they were approaching would not supply their products. The pair decided to open shops and spas to help build the brand, and in 2007 they sold an equity stake to the Huggler Group, a move which gave them access to its salon and spa. They have since acquired a number of of their own spas and shops.
Over 10 years since its launch, the company now employs over 200 staff and sells products from more than 500 brands such as Benefit, Clinique, Dior, Estee Lauder, Givenchy, and Yves Saint Laurent.

Returns & Refunds
You can return an item within 28 days of dispatch providing the goods are unopened, unused, and in a resellable condition. All tamper-resistant seals, cellophane and packaging must also be intact.
If you are unable to provide your invoice or dispatch note, please enclose a note with your parcel confirming the order number (should start with FN) and your reason for returning the item.
